In a significant development, the Mobility Program of Public Administration, endorsed by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Committee for Cooperation (NSK) on 25 May 2023 and the Steering Group of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration, has expanded its horizons to welcome participants from Ukraine. This expansion, effective from 2023 to 2025, demonstrates a concerted effort to foster collaboration across borders.

The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration now opens its doors to esteemed representatives from Ukraine's public administration sector, both at the local government and state institution levels. This initiative seeks to provide Ukrainian professionals with a unique opportunity to engage in the Nordic-Baltic projects supported by the mobility program.

    Key Requirements:

    1. Nordic and/or Baltic organizations intending to apply for the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration are encouraged to include 1-2 participants from relevant Ukrainian public administration entities in each project/application.
    2. Adherence to the program's established guidelines is of utmost importance.
    3. All project activities are to be conducted within the Nordic and/or Baltic countries.
    4. The funding principles for projects remain consistent with the guidelines of the mobility program. This entails a minimum of 40% co-financing from the applying organization and a maximum of 60% financing from the allocated grant of the mobility program.

The new application round for the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration commences on 15 August 2023, and the submission deadline is 31 October 2023.

The program extends financial grants to facilitate mobility and networking. With an approximate annual budget of 200,000 EUR, this program is collectively funded by the NB8 countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden. Its primary objective is to cultivate and fortify cooperation, knowledge exchange, and networking among public administration structures across various administrative tiers within the Nordic-Baltic Region. By promoting the adoption of more efficient working methods in the public sector, the program aspires to harmonize practices and enhance the region's global competitiveness.
